Hi Martin,
Thanks for reporting anyway.
The dep from cordova-cli on cordova-lib must be there in the released version
so that `npm install -g cordova` will result in a working installation, so even
if we remove it from master, we would need to re-add it each time for release
and then remove back. That's doable but not sure it's worth it.
The dev community did discuss some version of the gitflow model but eventually
settled on the simple model where development happens on master. It has some
cons and pros.
