When you said "I first created a sample native iOS app with a popover and the
issue did not occur." this means you created an app with an iOS 8 UIWebView
with HTML selects?
We don't do anything to HTML selects, that's entirely a UIWebView (UIKit)
thing, so I don't even know where to begin here.
