I posted the test project I used: https://github.com/shazron/CB-7780
I couldn't repo using iOS 8.1 (final) on an iPad 3.
1. iPad initially landscape mode
2. Launch Cordova app (set to iPhone only, Portrait only)
3. App launched in Portrait mode
Looks normal to me? Not sure what you mean by "viewport is pretty messed up",
please clarify.
