Ashwin Desai created CB-7851:
--------------------------------
Summary: Windows: New files are automatically shared between Phone
and Windows projects
Key: CB-7851
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7851
Project: Apache Cordova
Issue Type: Bug
Components: CLI
Affects Versions: 4.0.0, 3.6.3
Environment: Windows 8.1
Reporter: Ashwin Desai
Currently, there is no way (short of managing the jsproj and projitems files
manually) to add a platform specific file in the CLI generated Universal app
project.
I created a project using the cordova CLI and added the windows platform. It
creates 4 projects as described in the documentation including one for the
shared assets.
I added a file to the CordovaApp.WindowsPhone project using Visual Studio 2013
Update 3. I am expecting that this file is specific to the WindowsPhone
project; but, it gets shared across all project which is not desirable.
In short, adding a file to CordovaApp.Windows and CordovaApp.WindowsPhone
projects would effectively share the file to the other projects in the
solution.
I compared this behaviour to a Javascript template based Universal app created
without Cordova and it works fine i.e. you can add project specific files
without them being shared automatically.
