Diego Geffner commented on CB-9647:
-----------------------------------

The issue got solved after I installed the Google USB Driver:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html#top

Maybe we could detect if the driver is installed/working properly, and if not
suggest that to the user

> "cordova run android --device" could suggest the user to run "adb devices -l"
> to see the attached devices, and have some links to how to troubleshoot why a
> device isn't being picked up

> "cordova run android --device" could suggest the user to run "adb devices -l"
> to see the attached devices, and have some links to how to troubleshoot why a
> device isn't being picked up
> I have a device currently connected to my PC, and I get this error and I
> don't understand why:
> $ cordova run android --device
> Running command: "c:\Program Files\nodejs\node.exe"
> "c:\my_project\hooks\after_prepare\010_add_platform_class.js" "c:/my_project"
> add to body class: platform-android
> Running command: cmd "/s /c
> ""c:\my_project\platforms\android\cordova\run.bat" --device""
> ANDROID_HOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk-windows
> JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_55
> c:\my_project\platforms\android\cordova\node_modules\q\q.js:126
>                     throw e;
> ^
> ERROR: Failed to deploy to device, no devices found.
> ERROR running one or more of the platforms: Error: cmd: Command failed with
> exit code 1
> You may not have the required environment or OS to run this project
> Running adb is useful to see that ADB is not detecting it for some reason:
> $ adb devices -l
> List of devices attached
