In general I think the versionCode should NOT be modified by cordova in any
way. Especially not appending numbers! Because of this bug my version code on
google is now 50000! Took some time until i noticed my automated deployment
generating another digit every time.
Was it really the intention of the code to append the numbers or should they
have been added? I am in favour of removing this entire section or documenting
it very prominently. Messing around with the version codes is very very ugly
behaviour.
