Thank you for your answer.
The issue first occurred on a Galaxy S6 with Android 5.1.1 and
Chrome/38.0.2125.102 installed.
In further investigations we were also able to reproduce the problem on an
emulator running Android 5.1.
In the meantime we tried upgrading the webview, but we couldn't notice any
difference. Downgrading seems no more possible. We also found some posts
stating that the Android System WebView had/has serious bugs starting with
Android 5 and we're currently analyzing these reports. We'll also give
Crosswalk a try if we don't find any other solution. Thank you for the hint.
