I noticed that you're using Crosswalk. What happens when you remove Crosswalk
and use the built-in WebView? That's the only thing that I can think of that
would cause this sort of issue. That said, I did notice someone from the
Visual Studio team say there's incompatibilities, and it'd be good if someone
could elaborate and create issues relating to that.
I don't think the two are related, and the only changes between 4.0.x and 5.0.x
are Android permissions, which explains why things kept not working when you
downgraded. :/
