We could always just move the code from the other plugin over to get started
with the other platforms. Before significant work is put into that effort, the
API should definitely be discussed on the mailing list and be finalized. For
the record, I agree that this belongs in the camera plugin. The name "camera"
kind of implies that it should handle video too.
