@riknoll, somehow an exception is triggered by this line for some uri:
```java
try {
String wholeID = DocumentsContract.getDocumentId(uri);
// ...
} catch(Exception e) {
filePath = "";
}
```
The exception looks actually like:
> java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid URI:
content://media/external/images/media/5230
