Richard B Knoll commented on CB-10997:
--------------------------------------
I think the main scenario in which this would come up is if you were calling
{{cordova prepare}} on a project that had saved OS X in config.xml using
{{--save}
> Version script does not work on Windows

> Key: CB-10997

> Project: Apache Cordova
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: OSX
> Environment: Windows 10

> Priority: Minor
>
> Obviously you wouldn't be developing for OS X on a Windows machine, but you
> get a stack trace when adding the platform because there is no version.bat in
> the cordova directory. Might be better to handle it gracefully as iOS does
> and install correctly but print a warning:
> {noformat}
> WARNING: Applications for platform ios can not be built on this OS - win32.
> {noformat}
