Our application has reported this error a few times and we have some
interesting reasons/results. It's happened on a "new" Samsung Galaxy S5 with
Android 5.1.1, as well as a LG G-Pad 7.0 Android 5.0.1. Our app was crashing
and not usable with this. Seems to only happen on Android 5 phones/tablets.
With the G-Pad, one of our developers found this thread on AndroidCentral
[http://forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/422810-lg-g-pad-continuous-crashing.html]
that suggested removing the SIM card, and voila! We reached out to Verizon,
who I guess got hold of LG and a few months later LG did an update to their
drivers and the issue went away.
I'm not sure why this is happening on the Galaxy S5 - but the callstack is
exactly the same, except the error is "Unknown Error".
That's all I've got. Seems like there is an issue here that should be
investigated further to handle the error on a funky device.
