I would recommend that instead of using a modified cordova-plugin-device
for testing, you make copies of
https://github.com/apache/cordova-lib/tree/master/cordova-lib/spec-cordova/fixtures/plugins/test.
Just add your framework tag to the plugin.xml.
These plugins are much smaller and don't add much size to the cordova repo.
Next, lets make sure npm test passes. Travis
(https://travis-ci.org/apache/cordova-lib/builds/147629772) is reporting jshint
errors. These need to be fixed or travis will continue to fail.
