On (at least) Android 4.4.2 and later, it is possible to specify the profile of
the owner of the device in the address book.

The data associated with this profile will not consistently come up when
calling {{navigator.contacts.find}} however.
On a Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 4.4.2, the profile of the user does not
come up in search results. On a simulator running Android 6.0, it does not come
up either. On an LG Nexus 5, running Android 6.0.1, it *will* come up in search
results.
