Resolution: Fixed
This is fixed in the Cordova Android master branch by commit:
https://github.com/apache/cordova-android/commit/312872adaf15d36aedd880a4768eced5ebdc868d
The preference is called "FullscreenNotImmersive" and setting it to true
removes immersive mode and goes back to old fullscreen behaviour.
