I'm pretty sure your problem is the NSMicrophoneUsageDescription is not set as
you said that you needed another plugin to set the UsageDescription texts but
you are missing NSMicrophoneUsageDescription.
But 1.4.0 version of the plugin is supposed to add those texts, so I think this
issue is related to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-12041
