Connor Pearson commented on CB-12449:
-------------------------------------

Anything above cordova-android 6 works. I think 5.2 worked as well, but I'd
have to double check.

>          Components: Android, CordovaLib

> After a restore of the Android platform the App Name is not set correctly.
> This seems to only occur when using 6.x versions of the CLI with
> cordova-android 5.1.1
> {code}
> $ cordova create foo com.example.foo Foo
> $ cd foo/
> $ cordova platform add android@5.1.1 --save
> $ cat platforms/android/res/values/strings.xml
> <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
> <resources>
>     <string name="app_name">Foo</string>
>     <string name="launcher_name">@string/app_name</string>
>     <string name="activity_name">@string/launcher_name</string>
> </resources>
> $ rm -rf platforms/
> $ cordova prepare android
> $ cat platforms/android/res/values/strings.xml
> <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
> <resources>
>     <string name="app_name">Hello Cordova</string>
>     <string name="launcher_name">@string/app_name</string>
>     <string name="activity_name">@string/launcher_name</string>
> </resources>
> {code}
> Using cordova@5.4.0 fixes the issue.
