So the original specification this plugin was based on is considered obsolete
by the W3C: https://www.w3.org/TR/netinfo-api/
However, there is a W3C Community Group working on it (and it still looks
active). Spec here: http://wicg.github.io/netinfo/, repo here:
https://github.com/WICG/netinfo
Some of the connection-type constants have changed (like the additions of
'bluetooth' and 'mixed', and removing specific _kinds_ of cellular connections
(e.g. 3G, LTE, etc.)), and the event name is now just {{change}}. As well, the
new community-based spec has a section about providing a download bandwidth
upperbound, which would be a new addition.
My instinct says we should move to a newer spec, but it is still pretty fresh
and unadopted. So I'm torn.
I will abstain from voting on this one :)
