Resolution: Not A Problem
Closing this. I don't think this is a problem. The cordova documentation
explicitly mentions the ability to use the {{cdvfile:///}} protocol. See
https://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/latest/reference/cordova-plugin-media/index.html#media
