Sorry it took me a while to respond. I hadn't heard anything about this issue
for a while.
Here's the device details from the Google Play console crash reports:

First number is absolute number of crashes; 2nd is percentage.
These numbers are based on 2 years of data. I don't see any way to filter to
only recent data. Note, we're still seeing this occur about 1000 times/day.

This is probably related to the whole app being closed on slower devices
and the WebView going away before the browser. Can you tell me which devices
are getting this error?
