Thanks to Bernard for reporting the following issue:

 

(-) Documentation suggests wrong RPC
 type for TCP transport in namenode
 configuration (crail.namenode.rpctype):

org.apache.crail.namenode.rpc.tcp.tcpnamenode
 but should be
 org.apache.crail.namenode.rpc.tcp.TcpNameNode

(-) Documentation suggests wrong start/stop script
 location for larger Crail deployments:

$CRAIL_HOME/start-crail.sh
 should be
 $CRAIL_HOME/bin/start-crail.sh
 (same for stop-crail.sh).
