To solve this problem as application developer, make sure to add to your
cxf-beans.xml file:
<import resource="classpath:META-INF/cxf/cxf-servlet.xml"/>
or:
<import resource="classpath:META-INF/cxf/cxf-extension-http-jetty.xml"/>
depending which one you use.
