Move transports common int core

transports/common currently only contains the gzip feature. This feature is on
the transport level but does not have any special depenencies to transport and
also has no external dependencies. So I think we can safely move this to core
and have one less artifact. Additionally the gzip feature is even referenced
from core so this code can then be made simpler.
