Glen Mazza commented on CXF-4329:
---------------------------------
Zsolt, I apologize, your sample was of course using the simple frontend after
all. I had incorrectly thought that the presence of @WebService annotations on
the service endpoint implementation must mean the JAX-WS frontend would be in
use. (Sorry, I'm normally just accustomed to WSDL-first development.)
I'm unsure whether we should be supporting the simple frontend over OSGi (I
personally wish we could get rid of the simple frontend altogether) but I'll
leave that issue to Dan and others and am taking myself off this issue.

> Project: CXF
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: JAXB Databinding, Simple Frontend
> Affects Versions: 2.6
> Environment: Java 6, Karaf 2.2.7

> Priority: Minor

> When I deploy the karaf_cl_issue service attached to this issue into karaf
> and try to start it causes a ClassNotFoundException
> (org.apache.cxf.jaxb.JAXBDataBinding not found), see
> ClassNotFoundException.txt for the full stacktrace. karaf_cl_issue is derived
> from the java_first_jaxws sample. Instead of the JAX-WS frontend a Simple
> Frontend is used and build was modified to create a bundle instead of war
> file.
> Using the sample with JAX-WS works fine, also building and deploying the
> Simple Frontend based service with CXF-2.5.2 works.
