Freeman Yue Fang commented on CXF-8221:
---------------------------------------

About the OSGi support, I noticed this
{code}
HttpClient 5.0 releases can be co-located with earlier major versions
on the same classpath due to the change in package names and Maven
module coordinates.
{code}

So probably we can make cxf-http-async module both work with HttpClient 4.x and
5.x for CXF 3.x; Mark HttpClient 5.x as optional dependency for now, so for the
OSGi cxf-http-async feature, it can still work with HttpClient 4.x. If we can't
do it, I think we should hold the HttpClient upgrade for CXF 3.5, I don't think
we should lose OSGi support for cxf-http-async module, at least for CXF 3.x.

Best Regards
Freeman
