It sounds like you've identified two other issues.  Please create separate 
issues.  Note that zk= will default to he drill-override's ZK path.  If you are 
using a different one, you'll need to provide that as well.  

Is the Hive schema available on the cluster that you're actually connecting to? 
 It sounds like you're just connecting to a different cluster than you mean to.
