Description:
Note: This JIRA report is/was intended in part for for tracking specific
noticed differences between Drill and standard SQL (not necessarily differences
we've already decided to fix), and also in part as a reminder of this
likelihood of running into problems with tools that we care about (even that
set of problems isn't known now).
Drill's {{INFORMATION_SCHEMA}} is not fully compliant with SQL:2011.
See DRILL-2763 regarding
{{INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS}} (as opposed to other {{INFORMATION_SCHEMA.}}_*_
tables/views ).
Notes (to be edited/triaged/etc):
- {{INFORMATION_SCHEMA.INFORMATION_SCHEMA_CATALOG_NAME}} does not exist.
- Short-name views of existing tables (e.g., {{TABLES_S}} for {{TABLES}}) do
not exist.
- (Most standard-specified tables/views do not exist, but many probably aren't
relevant for Drill.)
