I had another thought about the design. I wonder if instead of "rolling
your own" readers, if you could do what the file plugin does and make use of
all the existing format plugins. Basically, that way any new file format for
which there is a format plugin could also be read by IPFS. I don't know IPFS
that well to know if that would even make sense, or not.
That also might simplify the code a lot.
