@luocooong, @jnturton , finally got a clean build. (The recently-added
plugins for Splunk and Casandra won't run on my machine, blocking me from the
modules that can run. We really should fix that.) Anyway, all the tests pass so
please have a look. There is quite a bit here: see the description for what the
various bits do. Thanks!
