@rymarm I just got [the same test failure in the 1.21
branch](https://github.com/apache/drill/actions/runs/7368854517/job/20053552574?pr=2860)
which is still based on Netty 4.1.73.Final. I'm testing there with more direct
memory and will send a PR to master if that takes care of the issue.
