Jinfeng Ni commented on DRILL-937:
----------------------------------

The fix is to handle boolean operator differently from other normal
function/operator in EvalVisitor. In run-time code generation phase, Drill need
generate the code to support short-circuit for boolean operator.

> Boolean operators should use short-circuit evaluation.

>
> When Drill evaluate a boolean operator ('and', 'or'), it should use the
> short-circuit evaluation approach : when one branch is sufficient enough to
> decide the final result, Drill should stop evaluating the other branches.
> This should help improve the performance of filter operator, when it contains
> a complex boolean operator.
