Description:
Currently, the Fineract Docker setup uses the Bitnami Kafka image for local
testing and GitHub workflows. This image is no longer actively maintained and
may introduce compatibility issues in the long term.
The official {{apache/kafka}} image provides a stable, well-maintained
alternative directly from the Kafka project maintainers. With minor
configuration changes, SmokeTests have been successfully executed using the
Apache Kafka image, confirming compatibility and stability.
