h2. {color:#172b4d}Minutes (Meeting on 6th January, 2026){color}

Present: [~kapilpanchal] [~bgowda]

Mode: Online

1) [~kapilpanchal] confirmed that the code that is responsible for calculation
of the GL account tax bifurcation is present.

2) [~bgowda] Confirmed that this was a feature that was originally developed
around 2016-2017 timeframe and it was working.

+{color:#172b4d}Conclusion:{color}+

This is a {*}Regression Bug{*}, the logic is getting altered or the exception
is getting executed and preventing the tax to be registered in the GL account.

There is another bug in the backend, the creation of new Tax Component is
giving an error of Status 500 "Internal Server Error" this is most likely the
cause for the regression bug. [~bgowda] mentioned [~Pascu216] working on the
tax component feature. Most likely resolving tax component error may also
resolve the regression bug.

> tax attached to the loan charge is not getting affected at the
> loan/accounting level
> To reproduce
> 1. Create a tax component-> create a tax group with the component created.
> 2. Create loan charge(any parameter, refer to the attachment for the
> parameters I used) and map the tax group created.
> 3. Add the charge to the loan product (with periodic accrual accounting)
> enabled
> 4. create/approve/disburse a loan from that loan product.
> 5. Ideally the charge with the tax attached should have JE splits for charge
> amount and tax amount separated.
> But the tax bifurcation is not happening
>
> Have attached
> product config screenshot, charge config screenshot, tax config screenshot,
> and loan issue screenshot for more understanding
> Please add a comment if you need any help
