Add a unit regression test to ProgressiveEMICalculatorTest for accumulating
paid principal and interest from multiple installment snapshots mapped
to the same repayment period.
The existing alignment regression test uses one installment snapshot per
period. This additional test supplies three snapshots per period and
verifies that principal and interest are accumulated independently,
without mixing amounts between periods.
Expected accumulated amounts:
- January: principal 85.00, interest 8.00.
- February: principal 70.00, interest 7.00.
- March: principal 100.00, interest 10.00.
The test exercises the public alignPeriodsWithPaidAmounts method and
reuses the existing test class setup. Its zero-EMI fixture deliberately
triggers alignment without introducing disbursement and interest
calculation. No production code changes are proposed.
Local validation:
- 139 tests passed in ProgressiveEMICalculatorTest and its nested classes.
- JaCoCo recorded 16 covered instructions and 0 missed instructions
for PaidAmounts.add.
This contribution adds focused unit coverage. It does not claim that
equivalent integration or E2E coverage is absent.
