P Santhiagu antony RAJ created FINERACT-3030:
------------------------------------------------

Summary: Fixed deposit premature closure posts the payout journal
entry twice
                 Key: FINERACT-3030
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-3030
             Project: Apache Fineract
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Savings
         Environment: Linux
            Reporter: P Santhiagu antony RAJ
         Attachments: fd_test.py, fd_test_report.txt

*Steps:* Fixed deposit product, cash-based accounting, chart 7% for 1–60
months, pre-closure penalty 1%. Open a 12-month deposit of 100,000 back-dated
about 133 days. Run {{prematureClose}} with {{onAccountClosureId}} = 100
(withdraw) and a cash payment type.

*Expected:* One journal entry for the payout: Dr Deposit control / Cr Fund
source, 102,205.06.

*Actual:* The account statement shows one withdrawal of 102,205.06 (correct,
and interest at the penalised 6% is correct). But the journal has *two
identical entries* (Dr Deposit control / Cr Fund source, 102,205.06 each) under
the same transaction id. They are distinct journal entry ids. Result: fund
source (cash) understated by 102,205.06, and the deposit control GL left with a
102,205.06 debit balance after closure.

*Reproduced:* twice (transactions S557 and S596). Closing at maturity
({{{}command=close{}}}) does *not* duplicate.

*Impact:* every early-closed deposit misstates branch cash by the full payout.

*Reproduction:* self-contained Python script using only the REST API (attached:
{{{}fd_test.py{}}}, scenario {{{}fd_premature{}}}) and its report.
