Alexander Scheibe commented on FLEX-33869:
------------------------------------------

To be more explicit about it.
The data provider listens for property change events of the DummyItem because
it is an EventDispatcher.
So if a property of the DummyItem changes the data provider will dispatch a
collection change event of kind update.
I known that this causes the ItemRenderer for DummyItem to disapear from a MX
list, as well as from a DataGrid (both spark and mx).
Calling collection.refresh() is not required!
I expect this behavior from a spark list too.

> Using a filter function to hide item from a data provider has no effect on a
> spark list

> Steps to re-produce the bug:
> 1) have a data provider (ListCollectionView, e.g. ArrayCollection) with a
> filter function and one item
> 2) change a property of that item so the filter function will hide it from
> the view.
> Is:
> Item is still shown in the spark list
> Expected:
> Item is hidden in the list
