Ok, managed to reproduce the issue on a Galaxy SIII.
Understood the exact cause of the issue.
As you said, the text input must be low enough on the screen so that a panning
occurs to display the soft KB.
- press finger on the text input
- screen (and text input) pans upward to reveal the KB.
- your finger is not on the TI anymore, so when you release your finger, no
mouseUp is detect
( note that if you move your finger inside the TI after the pan, then release
it, the KB appears).
