We have developed an iPad teleconferencing application based on Flex netStream
(client) and Red5 (server).
The first issue is that Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone() is not available on
iOS, hence no advanced options are available (and no echo cancellation).
Furthermore, after performing a call from an iPad, we noticed that an acoustic
echo (on the other side of the call) is heard both when using iPad internal
microphone and speaker, and when using external microphone and headphones. The
echo is not there when using external headphones with internal microphone
(headphones with no microphone provided).
Since it's not possible to manually select the audio source (it is all managed
internally by the Flash player), we thought of some framework bug.
