             Project: Apache Flex
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: mx: TextInput
Affects Versions: Adobe Flex SDK 4.6 (Release)
Environment: Linux Red Hat OS, Runs Flex Web App with Text Input
            Reporter: akshat nimbalkar

We have an Flex web based application ( compiled with SDK 4.6 ), running on
Linux Red Hat OS. When we try to write chinese letters using Pinyin Input
Method in Flex TextInput control. Its not updating it and keeps it blank.
Browser used on Linux Red Hat is FireFox latest version.

1. Same application works fine on windows OS Browser.

2. We do not have any other browser beside FireFox on Linux where we can try if
it works. Our application does not support Opera Linux Browser.

3. We try to debug and found, top most layer of "application" container object
itself is not able to listen yinpin event.

4. If we copy paste chinese letters from text editor to input. It works and
this is the only work around we have right now.

5. We saw some issues about PinYin input method with Flex TextInput on
different OS. Is this known issue?

Please give your feedback/solution as we have to fix this issue ASAP as its
turning blocker for our Chinese customers.
