I don't know about OSMF, but I think it's a wrapper for the Video and 
StageVideo objects, correct? If so, I recognise the problem, and it's indeed 
related to using StageVideo. You can solve it (at least when wrapping the above 
objects yourself) by adding the attached skin 
(ApplicationStageVideoEnableSkin.mxml) to your Application, like so: 

var application:SkinnableComponent = 
SkinnableComponent(FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication);
application.setStyle("skinClass", ApplicationStageVideoEnableSkin);
