Stephan Ewen commented on FLINK-1847:
-------------------------------------
I am actually seeing a common Scala pitfall here: Calling the parenthesis-less
method with parenthesis is a call to the method + apply(). That returns of
course something different.
The distinction between parenthesis-less methods and methods with empty
parenthesis is very tricky and needs to be done very carefully.
I doubt, I would always add parenthesis. Less error-prone...

> Project: Flink
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Scala API
> Affects Versions: 0.9

>
> Right now, the method is very specific in returning {{mutable.Buffer}}.
> Changing it to {{Seq}} allows us to alter the underlying representation
> without breaking the API.
