You're right that the problem isn't the path length.
This issue is another incarnation of people passing a Flink {{Path}} to the
java {{File}} API. In out RocksDB related code take Files, convert them to
paths, and then convert them to String which before passing them to Rocks, when
instead we should pass the path returned by the file directly.
