Thanks for the feedback. Renaming the signal name is easy. There was a 
discussion at the mailing list about this featrue and had an objection to 
"terminate" so I used it in the first version.
About the checkpoint: As menstioned in the JIRA description there is already 
another JIRA for the checkpoint issue. IHMO, this can be handle after the new 
signal is intruduced.

And it's of course up to you, if this goes into the next release or not.
