    For clarity it can be separated into two steps. You can do something like:
    
    ```
    TypeInformation ty = TYPE_MAP.get(schema.getCategory())
    if (ty != null) {
      return ty;
    } else if (schema.getCategory() == ...) {
    } ...
    ```
