Before starting a big implementation effort for such a feature, I would like to
understand better how people would want to use this "library" or "embedded"
mode.
Do you have a concrete sample application for this mode?
Maybe you can make a prototype for you use case, where high-availability is
more configuration heavy (needs a manual zookeeper ensemble to connect to) and
then when we learned more about the use case and requirements, then we can see
how to best extend Flink.
