Description:
FLINK-8607 and following issues have implemented or are currently implementing
the first two parts of
[FLIP-24|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FLINK/FLIP-24+-+SQL+Client]
for adding a SQL Client with basic functionality.
A next step is to offer the features available in the CLI via a RESTful API. A
{{SQL Client Gateway}} should offer a stateless way of submitting SQL queries
and retrieving result handles. A design document will follow.
