[~dawidwys] Thanks a lot for the feedback. Yes, it will break the backward
compatibility. Breaking the API backward compatibility seems an unacceptable
thing unless it is unavoidable. I will close it for the time being and reopen
it when we have the opportunity to do this refactor in the future.
