 Review comment:
   Great thanks for having a look at this again :) This weekend I was looking 
to see if I could upgrade this branch to 1.8. I'll try to push those changes 
today or tomorrow.
   
   I've set this scope to provided because the google sdk's give a lot of 
dependency problems. So in our case we would always provide our own correct 
version (using bom for example 
https://github.com/googleapis/google-cloud-java/tree/master/google-cloud-bom)
   
   Would you say it's better to just include it and if anyone has dependency 
problems they should just exclude the dependency?
