Sweet. I also think making it pluggable is a good approach. with the current
architecture I dont think this would be too hard of a problem to support that.
I would create a discussion JIRA on Calcite side.
Meanwhile I will look into normalizing our side (also agreed that this is not
easy and might not be possible at all :-) )
