zhijiangW opened a new pull request #8242: [FLINK-6227][network] Introduce the
DataConsumptionException for downstream task failure
URL: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/8242

   ## What is the purpose of the change

   *It is part of FLIP-1.*

*We define a new special exception to indicate the downstream task failure
in consuming upstream data.
This special exception is reported to `JobMaster` as a hint for unavailable
partition data, and then `JobMaster` could track the upstream executions to
restart for reproducing the partition data.*

   ## Brief change log

     - *Introduce the new class `DataConsumptionException`*
     - *Adjust the related processes in `LocalInputChannel` and
`RemoteInputChannel` for wrapping the `DataConsumptionException`*
     - *Fix related tests to verify the `DataConsumptionException`*

   ## Verifying this change

     - *Added new unit tests in `LocalInputChannelTest`*
     - *Added new unit tests in `RemoteInputChannelTest`*
     - *Added new unit tests in `ClientTransportErrorHandlingTest` for
verifying the channel inactive case*
